Arrowroot Starch
Arrowroot flour or starch (same thing, just different names), is made from grinding arrowroot rhizomes into a powder. This starchy, white powder is very similar to cornstarch. Both cornstarch and arrowroot may be used in a recipe calling for arrowroot and vice versa. Arrowroot, or organic cornstarch, is used in body-care products as a base for homemade foundation powder and dry shampoo. Arrowroot may also be added to lotions and body butters to reduce oiliness.
